Lion Vs Cow: The Agile Methodology

Some themes and a good  understanding about life have to be regarded well and kept close on the grounds of their sanctity and importance. This entails going in deep analysing its various layers, the contexts in which those have to play out etc etc. The ultimate assimilation into our lives and the results they bring hitherto must be a point of a keen assessment. The regularity with which the philosophic themes are churned and consolidated better, the more reliable and extremely prudent they become for whatever we do or whatever businesses we routinely vie upon. The entrepreneurial battle has to be fought for it is envied by many. More important than that is the inner battle; rather, it is ‘the’ great battle that has to be fought and moreover to be won. Our work here will try to basically present and critique this concept with a whole range of analogies that we have brought here for a much better understanding.

Agility and adaptability are one of the very precious traits that keeps a wild animal alive in the jungle scene. Whoever is the fastest, the strongest, the most adaptable ultimately gets to savour upon the riches of its hard work or labour or whatever one would like to call it. In the cruel, callous and the jungle world of ours the process of winning is not entirely different rather it is very similar. Contextual understanding demands an analogy here. The cow, the peaceful animal, the one which is one of the most friendly to humans is also a lethargic one, it has to in fact constantly eat to supply itself with the basic, daily protein requirements. This represents (here), the slow learner, though the input is massive and time consuming the output is fairly grimly small. Even then only the nutritional requirements of one animal is taken care of. In contrast to this is the lion, the powerful alpha who leads the packs, hunts skillfully and slyly feeds itself and also the whole of the pack. This here is the skillful entrepreneur who just knows how fast and how gracefully the work has to be done. The right amount of work and the general adaptability of the creature has to be taken into consideration. The agility of a lion stands in no comparison with a cow, albeit here they are being taken as symbols and nothing more. The finesse of the lion from its camouflaged leap to the sprint and to its  eventual catch is truly a masterpiece if one carefully observes.

Unicorn founders do have this mentality when they work, the input is measured and is just the right amount, though the exertion is high, it is just the right amount. The concept of sprint could come in handy here. The sheer sense of focus on the face of a sprinter, or the ignition exhaust from the nozzle of a rocket or even the slow start of an airplane on its runway, these all things augment the coming of something great and great it is, to see human achievement run and fly and takeoff in its most capable and shiny way. The intensity of that wild energy, carefully calibrated and then all of it is just unleashed. A tremendous force, one can be sure is about to come. A high performance for an entrepreneur is just this and this alone. The right amount of work, the patience for the right time, a proper harness of all the infinite energy and then the final run, the final sprint or that final takeoff. The cherished result then is its only worth. The culmination of one’s efforts and their ends quantifies this whole process of becoming.

Another important factor that we must pay attention to and which many other successful leaders have stressed immensely upon is the point of adjustability. The more adjustable you are the more prone you become to success. The ability to gauge the environment that we work in properly and to be able to navigate in its treacherous terrain is far from being a simple task. Immense inner work and outer work has to be foremost done astutely before one can come upon it.

The analogy of the lion has to come in again here. A lion very carefully observes the patterned behaviour and traits of its coveted prey before it finally pounced upon the animal. Their scents, their frequency of coming on to a particular place are all very carefully recorded by it. All of this plus the final teamwork with the pride to catch the prey requires planning, meticulous in nature and complete to say the very least. An entrepreneur cannot and must not tolerate himself to be in a state of ignorance, with no plans whatsoever. A proper detailed groundwork, the base on which the superstructure is going to be built upon is in fact the plan and the plan alone. The other important factor is the clarity, the clarity of one’s own goals or ambitions and also about oneself. Better decisions then are inevitable. In fact , good decisions are the consequence of a clear, erudite mind. As we have talked about earlier, the intensity and the life with which one bursts is an important ingredient for success, rather it is the only one. The propositions for a successful and brilliant life are well laid before us; it is only a matter of our own desirability and the keenness for the thing. The effort we show, the battles we face and the storms we tackle in our daily lives determine the intensity and immensity with which we live too. It is important to add though here, is the point that it is our own irregularity and dishonesty towards the work that we do will necessarily in fact lead to our failure. This single factor of intent matters more than anything else here. It is in fact in these things we must live our lives in for they are wonderful for if they are tried the person is bound to come on top.

The chains of our lives must be ripped off, often they are ours, they impede us from our fullest and the most wholesome potential. They have to be eradicated and only then can one realise the true intensity and the sheer magnanimity of this Creation.
