Our way of living moment to moment is a hassle in itself, it has not got the vitality of a swift river. Most of it is full of confusion, insecurity, chaos and fear on an infinite scale. Our daily turmoil if one would observe keenly, most of it directly pertains to the individual and his or her own set of reactions, ideas and conditioning (both biological and social). This demands an awareness or in other words an insight into our own lives with all the set of problems that are associated with it. This is true spirituality, which is to radically alter our way of living both outwardly and inwardly. The spiritual way is not an escape, on the contrary it is a direct confrontation with the reality of our lives, which often is very grim.
Problems demand an Understanding which is whole
The problems of economics, politics, of business or relating to livelihood etc, most of the problems associated with them can be comprehended by deconstruction or by breaking and segmenting the problem into narrower parts. The issues of our lives are just very different in nature. It demands an acute mind which sees the problem whole and not in a segmentary way. The problem of understanding demands that we are first free of our daily turmoil only then can that understanding act for a proper resolution. We think of spirituality as just one another part of our life, thus something separate, something to be thought about separately. This creates an obstruction in our sight, the wholeness of it, thus it hampers the direct confrontation with our problem. Insight offers a way out. Only when one is unmovable in resolve , unshakably established in the facts of one’s life or in other words in-sight of the problem we currently are in. Spirituality involves deep investigation and enquiry of the most subtle kind, not just bhajans and talks about mysticism. It is at once whole and non-fragmented in this way too. The special relation of understanding with our life is that our life decisions are based on thoughts, they lack depth and are often superficial. This principle or this pattern often gets repeated in every thing we do or any kind of action we choose for ourselves. This understanding can then penetrate in various activities of our life too such as choosing a partner or getting involved in relationships or any other thing that is personal.
Insight into Business of things
The choice of business and the leaders henceforth required to run them in such precarious times has to be made very rightly. The possibility of an individual to gain spiritual freedom and to act rightly in this world and time must go hand in hand, no separation should be there of what one believes and how the person acts in real life or business. Constantly, an enterprise or business is the physical expression of an individual’s motive or philosophy. These things also extend to the workings of the company in its day to day operations and if I could add, to the sources of funds etc. Insightful thinking therefore must overlap with the daily decisions of an entrepreneurial setup and to be exact must come from the right source (the right mind of the entrepreneur). The set of skills that one has can be heightened in various ways that rest on time and practice but the things that lead to the development of the right mind cannot be cultivated but have to be seen instantly and acutely, only then there is the chance that a deeper understanding arises within. In these terms the rightful owner of an enterprise must be acquainted with the social setting the entrepreneur is operating in and also must bear the responsibility of what the impact of his or her enterprise has on the world and its inhabitants. The deeper connection between the enterprise and the consumers who are thereof can then be established. In minute terms the whole of this process could then be sanctified and then assumes an honest expression. The various internal relationships among the employees and the employers could possibly then be understood in a better way and the tensions and conflicts that exist between these two parties could be eased. The higher business policies that the authorities take or implement could possibly take the right path that in effect could bring profit as well as the right balance among the different people who are in that system. The link could straighten if one could rightly ascertain what the particular philosophy of the company is and the values it is offering to the society at large. The organisations as one can see and observe in the world right now are only profit ridden but can an organisation that just operates on it provide a deeper fulfilment to the creative expression that an individual beholds. No sanctity is offered to the individual, his deepest requirements and longings are not properly addressed, they are only used as cogs in the larger corporate machinery. This is what spirituality is, to see and give everything its right place in life and no area of human existence or activity should be separated from it.
Importance of Right Living
For the upcoming generation of leaders and entrepreneurs the value of life education is of utmost importance. Most of the people see those people at the top as their idols, should it not be of prime importance that the people who are to reach those positions are in themselves a good example to everyone who are below him. This being below here corresponds to a mental state, it is of the person who is still in a higher consciousness and on account of this higher consciousness is rightfully placed at the top. The love for better ideals for life must in their essence become a regular in the minds of young people and not a far fetched possibility. The tools of mental investigation and the whole rigour of it must be expounded fervently in the corporate setups and institutions. The deliberate attempt as one sees is nevertheless lacking from our culture so the effort that there should be must come from the laymen who understand or the employees must in their own environment espouse and instigate such discussions on healthy mind and healthy living in their own circles. Self knowledge or self awareness or Atma-gyan must be in explicit terms be condensed and provided by the right teachers, then only a solution for all our mental ailments or problems that are commonplace in today’s culture can be provided and thus be dealt with effectively. One must seek an answer from oneself as to why even with such a great amount of wealth never ever seen in the history of humanity, has not brought about a general level of mental wellbeing in people. On the contrary the human mind of the modern era is greatly perturbed and influenced and conditioned and thus resulting in this degradation that we see all around.

The trends that we see in the corporate world, in the political world and the social world thereof are alarming. The need for an active education that is grounded in true spirituality which seeks to understand the mind, its operation and ultimately change it must come about. Insight and hence a form of right living would then eventually be the expression of such a mind in everything that it does.
